
Originally formed in the heart of Cornwall in the summer of 2017, BBQ Kernow was initially a Facebook page idea, designed to bring local BBQ'ing enthusiasts together over social media.
Born from a love for outdoor cooking and hosting small events with friends and family then being asked to cater Weddings, events & small functions in Cornwall.
The journey of experimenting with different variations of woods, meats and materials took the team to host their first public event in 2019 at the Beacon Inn, where they served 200 people with freshly cooked BBQ all day.
Using local Butchers and Farm markets, the team are still developing their craft to give you the best experience of what they believe to be quality, Cornish BBQ.
Not only do they serve Hot smoked food but sides and ingredients to accompany your BBQ Kernow flavour.
Renowned for their warm and friendly attitude BBQ Kernow are always keen to help.
Using a variation of BBQ's and Smokers the team have customised each menu item to its own cooker depending on the length of the cook and flavouring.
From big to small, each BBQ is essential in their cooking process, adding more moisture and smoke to individual products, you'll be sure to taste something that hits the spot.

Aka The Big One.
Aka Big Kahuna.
Originally used as a smoker for The Village Butchers in Newquay, this BBQ served fresh pastrami and ribs to local customers for over 10 years before being sold to BBQ Kernow and being fully restored to original condition.
This Smoker is used for large cooks and all day smoking.
Able to cook 10 racks of ribs at once, the Brinkmann can serve up to 300 people depending on what's being cooked.

This BBQ is designed for one thing and one thing only "GRILLING". This monster was built by Adam and the Royal Marines, it can grill 50 burgers at once if needed. It is also used to heat sides like Mac'n'Cheese or any vegetarian dishes. You can find this BBQ at all of our events filling the air with the smell of cooking coals.

Aka The upright. The Original addition to BBQ Kernow, this was the first smoker bought by Myles back in 2017 and is still going strong. Built by ProQ Smokers in Bodmin this really is as Cornish as it gets. This smoker is used for small outdoor events and long overnight smokes as the upright smoking method allows them to contain the heat for a more consistent cook.

Aka The Elite The newest addiction to the family and twice the size of the original ProQ, this monster can cook 3 pork shoulders on one of its 2 grills. The Size and upright design make this smoker very efficient, cooking long shifts without using much wood or coal. This smoker can be purchased here

A side project of BBQ Kernow and recently refurbished by Shane Bre, this smoker is primary used for small cooks and cold smoking ingredients like Cheese, Salt and bacon. It's seen a lot of action so its been modded to adapt to various cooking styles.
